Tracy Carney (House Manager) is a theatre artist involved in the performing arts from an early age. She moved to Dutchess County 13 years ago and was delighted to find a welcoming and robust theatre community. Working locally with Cocoon Theatre, The Woodstock Players, various companies at the CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck, and most recently, Tangent Theatre, she has been fortunate to be involved with productions from the sublimely profound to the seriously silly. Many of which, were shared with her talented family. Tracy is looking forward to new creative and challenging projects.
Angela Cole (House Manager) is a 10-year resident of Tivoli. Her love of the stage began at age 5 when she performed in the Newnan, GA production of The Nutcracker. Sadly, though, she twirled herself right off the stage and into the local emergency room! Ever since, she has happily kept her theater activities solidly off stage where no twirling is required. Angela is the house manager on Thursday and Sunday.
Summer Corrie is thrilled to be back with the NEWvember New Plays Festival once again. She was also seen with Tangent as Grete in Sight Unseen and Annette in the pub reading of God of Carnage. Other credits include – Theatre: HAIR, West Side Story, The Heidi Chronicles, A MidSummer Night’s Dream, Quilters, and Making Contact. Ben Fundis has joined Tangent on a few occasions, for NEWvember 2013, pub readings and the 2011 production of The Zoo Story. He is a filmmaker, musician and a graduate of the film and electronic arts program at Bard College. He has appeared in several roles in plays and musicals such as Pippin, as Pooh-Bah the Lord High Everything Else in The Mikado and as Jim Curry in The Rainmaker.
Samuel Hoeksema moved to New York in 2010, attending the two year Professional Acting Program at Circle in the Square Theatre School, graduating in 2012. Select theatre credits include: The Vandal (Tangent Theatre Company), Kill Me Now (Kaliyuga/Bridge Street Theatre), and The Right to Children (Workshop Theatre), also written by Samuel. Jacob Horstmeier is ecstatic to be back in Tivoli for another NEWvember Festival. New York credits include Post-Concussive Syndrome (Six Part Productions), The Brothers Savage (Manhattan Repertory Theatre), These Troubled Times (Monarch Theatre Company/Ryan Rep). He earned his BFA in acting at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He can also be seen playing guitar and screaming into a microphone with any one of his three New York based folk/rock bands: GoodWolf, Dacada Summer, and Sweater Weather.
Kelsey Landon* is thrilled to be joining NEWvember. Kelsey has worked with several New York companies including The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, The Pearl Theater Company, The Acting Company, Worlds End Theater, The Guthrie Theater and is an Associate Artist with Ugly Rhino Productions. She is a graduate of The University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA Actor training program.
Amy Lemon* Olson has acted on stage in New York and Los Angeles for many theatre companies. She won a DramaLogue award for The Early Girl. John Charles McLaughlin*, originally from Hammond, IN, is a resident artist at the cell theatre in New York City. Jared Reinmuth* is thrilled to return to the NEWvember Festival with the talented cast of Strong Force. In 2011’s festival, he performed in Broken Wing by Rachel White, The Cat Vandal by Fengar Gael and Pirate by Jennifer Skura. He most recently appeared in the part of Don Armado in Boomerang Theatre’s NYC production of Love’s Labour’s Lost. Andrea Rhodes (Producer) is one of Tangent’s co-founders. Andrea VanSwearingen (Stage Manager) is a local Hudson Valley native specializing in production and event management. Most recently she was the Executive Assistant for the Woodstock Film Festival. Steven Young is a professional writer and performer.
